In-Game Name: Toshirou Hitsugaya, sometimes called "Shiro-chan"

Appearance:
Toshirou is a young boy with an ability to control ice and water. He is a young man the age of fourteen years old, with sharp, jade-green eyes and spiky white hair. For his age, Toshirou might be considered a prodigy with excellent fighting skills that is masked by his short stature. His smaller frame, and shorter height sometimes has him mistaken as someone younger than he really is. Toshirou enjoys wearing normal jeans and t-shirts, or something equally comfortable. Other than that, he will wear a black gi and black hakuma, over that he usually wears a white sleeveless coat with the symbol for the number ten on it.

Personality:
Although young, Toshirou is very mature and serious but does have a softer side. He is also extremely sharp, being able to notice things that others might miss. This makes Toshirou appear to be a wise old man in the body of a boy. He tends to be somewhat of a loner, keeping to himself, never giving away any information about his past.
Like one of his preferred elements, Toshirou can be cold and complacent to those around him giving him an icy demeanor. An intelligent person, he has always been seen as a child prodigy, especially by his peers. He hates others goofing off, or acting childish. Due to his short height, he on occasion can be picked on by his fellow comrades. Ignoring this, the only reaction gotten out of him, is usually a short retort, or an annoyed expression.

Abilities/Weapons:
With him, he always carries his Zanpakutou. Normally, when sealed, it looks almost exactly like a normal katana with the exception of the guard, which is in the shape of a four-pointed star. Its hilt is a pale blue, while the sheath itself is a deeper blue, which is a reflection of his magical abilities. It is usually worn on his back. To release his swords true form, Toshirou activates the manastones in the guard by saying the words, "Soten ni Zase", which means literally "Sit upon the frosted heavens". In its true form, Hyourinmaru (his swords name) remains the same, but gains a crescent-shaped blade that attaches to the hilt by a chain. This allows him to control both the elements of water and ice. The slashes that are created by his Zanpakutou give off an energy that overflows from the blade, and creates a flow of ice in the shape of a dragon. Hyorinmaru takes it power from the moisture in the atmosphere, doing so affects the weather around Toshirou. The ice dragon flies at opponents and instantly freezes anything it touches. The chain-blade also freezes anything Toshirou traps with it, as long as there is water in the surrounding area, Hyorinmaru can regenerate itself indefinitely.

Weaknesses:
Although Toshirou is very skilled, he hasn't fully mastered his magic, thus Hyorinmaru is very difficult to controll. This tends to cause a lot of colateral damage whenever Hyorinmarus is in use. Activating the manastones imbedded in the guard of his sword for extended periods of time, takes alot of energy from his body, for that reason he only releases Hyorinmaru when he is deadly serious about a fight. Because of his ability to control ice and water, extreme heat also takes a toll on his body. Besides being feircely loyal to a fault, he has a quick temper which tends to land him in all sorts of trouble. Toshirou becomes irritated when anyone calls him "Shiro-chan", and will start an argument over how one shoule properly address him. Although he'd never admit it, candy is his Achilles Heel.

History:
Toshirou Hitsugaya was born fourteen years ago, in Kropmork, on the world of Reial. He was orphaned at the age of six when a vicious monster killed his parents. The only reason he survived the slaughter, was that his latent magical abilities manifested themselves just as the monster turned to attack him. The extreme force of power that had been torn from him out of self preservation, froze everything within a mile radius of where Toshirou was. Although magic wasn't unheard of in Kropmork, there was no one with the capabilities to even begin to show the young boy how to control his powers. So, after a few years full of mishaps in which his magic raged out of control, the villagers decided the best thing was for Toshirou to leave.
two years of living in the Badlands, forced Toshirou to grow up fast and learn how to survive on nothing but his wits. One venture into the city of Shashta, were he had heard manacrystals were mined, Toshirou encountered a woman named, Matsumoto. Hearing that manacrystals could extend a person's magical abilities for periods of time, he thought that if he got ahold of one, he'd be able to control his power somehow. Well, things didn't turn out like he planned. He didn't get the manacrystals, almost got caught in the process, and accidently ended up freezing a couple of the city guards. Matsumoto, a dealer of antiquities of undeclared loyaly to either nation, had been watching the spikey white haired youth the entire time. She noticed his unique ability to control ice and water, and decided to take the young boy under her wing. Toshirou found that the questionable line of work the big breasted lush engaged in was interesting, if not dangerous. Much to Matsumoto's chargin, Toshirou found he rather enjoyed living so close to danger. Toshirou stayed with Matsumoto for a few years. In that time, he learned how to pilot a ship and navigate it even better than her. She also instructed him in the use of magic, how to channel his energy through a sword into whatever shape his will could imagine. Then one morning he announced that he was leaving. He had surpassed the older woman, in both fighting and magical skills, and he felt that she had nothing more to teach him.
Toshirou wandered the continent of Vohemar on his own for two years all the while, fighting the numerous monsters both human and non-human that plagued the region. He even hitched rides with merchant ships from city to city, in exchange for passage if he didn't have the money he would bargain his skills as navigator, or offer to do the laundry aboard the ship if that failed. During one of his visits to Berum, he chanced upon a rather unusual ship, and crew. If asked to his face he would flatly deny that he had taken a liking to the ship, and it's crew of miscrients. Toshirou requested to join the crew of the 4423, and felt for the first time in years that perhaps now he just might find what he'd been searching for.

It's an age of piracy like you've never seen it before. On the floating continent of Reial, tensions run high as two opposing countries stand on the verge of war. To the west, there's Vohemar, a land that supports so few laws that it's made a nation of cutthroats and scoundrels. To the east, there's Ivona, a refined country that remains a leader in production and technology, yet the corruption here reaches deeper than most can imagine. Some choose not to pick a side at all, and either help or hinder either side depending on their whims.
